Recorder All Star Gala Concert

2017 marks the 80th Birthday of the Society of Recorder Players (srp.org.uk). To mark the occasion, the SRP has brought together some of the worlds greatest virtuoso recorder players.
Featuring Michala Petri, Piers Adams, Tom Beets, Evelyn Nallen, Charlotte Barbour-Condini and Sophie Westbrooke.
Charlotte Barbour-Condini and Sophie Westbrooke are both recent finalists in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. Piers Adams performs regularly as part of his group Red Priest, and Tom Beets with the Flanders Recorder Quartet. Michala Petri has performed more than 4000 concerts in the worlds leading festivals and Concert Halls, and Evelyn Nallen is a local Cambridge Virtuoso who regularly performs with Respectable Groove.
Performing together for the first time, this concert is a unique opportunity to enjoy a recorder extravaganza with both modern and early music performed by some of the best in the field.
Commissioned by the Society of Recorder Players, the concert will also include the world première of Bob Chilcott’s first work for recorder consort.
