A Festival of New Writing 2019

Note: Tickets for this event are no longer available to buy online, but can still be bought at the door before the concert.

A Festival of New Writing, now in its fourth year, looks forward to showcasing some of the best original student writing that Cambridge has to offer. Nine original short plays, performed over three nights, is followed by a discussion-critique involving both the audience and a panel of industry experts. Past judges include Alex Lass, freelance director at the Royal Shakespeare Company; and Edward 'Chips' Hardy, screenwriter and father to Academy-Award winning actor Tom Hardy.

A Festival of New Writing 2019 welcomes everyone interested in a varied and thoughtful night of theatre, and especially to those seeking an insight into the wonderful and mysterious machinery of the script-writing process. Come and see for yourself the creativity on offer at the beautiful Howard Theatre!
